Hastings reproduces a USS Curtiss deck-log entry recording an unidentified yellowish-orange luminous object passing from bow to stern at low altitude and high speed during Operation Castle. Later shipboard testimony adds an alleged zigzag departure, but that feature is not contained in the reproduced log entry.
