Malmstrom Weapons Storage Area Unknown-Intruder Report

Fall 1975, before Joseph Chassey separated from the Air Force in OctoberMalmstrom AFB Weapons Storage Area, Montana, United States

Joseph Chassey recalled directly hearing an urgent Security Police radio call concerning an unknown intruder over Malmstrom’s nuclear Weapons Storage Area. The next day he heard that helicopters had pursued a brilliant object toward Belt. Former helicopter-unit commander Robert Peisher later acknowledged hearing about such a pursuit, but Hastings identifies chronology problems in their accounts.
